Meet Dr. Matthew Ebia
Dr. Matthew Ebia returned home and joined Hawaii Oncology in 2025. He is a Kamehameha Schools graduate and received his B.S. in Bioengineering and M.S. in Engineering Science from the University of the Pacific. His interests shifted to medicine and oncology after an internship at the National Institutes of Health in 2012. He was the chief fellow during his fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and received the Clinical Fellows Award for Excellence in Research in 2024 for his translational work in pancreatic cancer. He has co-authored several publications in scientific journals. Dr. Ebia’s areas of interest include cancers of the pancreas, liver, bile duct, gallbladder, colon, esophagus, and stomach.
